The Los Angeles Chargers seem to be back on track after a rough start to the 2023 campaign. The LA team dominated the New York Jets in a Monday Night Football clash to claim a 27-6 win and improve to a 4-4 record.

The Chargers’ defense showed up big time, keeping the Jets out of the end zone and only allowing two field goals. They also sacked the Jets’ quarterback Zach Wilson eight times while forcing four fumbles and recovering three.

LA’s special team also showed up to play, especially rookie Derius Davis, who scored a touchdown on a punt return to give the Chargers the early lead.

On offense, the Chargers were less efficient than they would have wanted. Quarterback Justin Herbert had only 136 passing yards without a touchdown, while the running game generated a total of 84 yards.

“The defense played terrific today, came up with some big stops, and got a lot of turnovers,” Herbert said after the game. “Offensively, we can move the ball better. We did a good job not turning the ball over. We had a couple of punts and a few miscues, but those are things that we could fix.”

The Chargers are now riding a two-game winning streak and find themselves second in the AFC West. They are set to face the Detroit Lions next Sunday.

The Jets, on the other hand, suffered their first loss in four games. They are third in the AFC North at 4-4 and play the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 10.
