The Buffalo Bills defeated the Miami Dolphins 21-14 to claim their fourth straight AFC East title and secure a spot in the NFL playoffs. Since arriving at the Bills in 2017, coach Sean McDermott has now made it to the playoffs in each of the past five seasons as well as in six of his seven seasons as coach.

Ultimately, the Dolphins game proved to be little more than an exhibition for the Bills, who managed to qualify for the playoffs prior to the match after fellow contenders Jacksonville Jaguars slumped to an unexpected 28-20 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

By defeating the Dolphins, the Bills have claimed their 11th win of the regular season. Alongside the Kansas City Chiefs, the Dolphins are the only side to win 10+ games and a playoff berth in each of the past five seasons.
