The Milwaukee Bucks forward Joe Ingles is aiming to return from injury against the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night, sources confirmed on Friday. Once he completes a 5-on-5 workout on Friday, Ingles will be cleared to compete.

Ingles picked up a torn left ACL on January 30, resulting in him being sidelined for over 10 months. During this time, he was still playing for the Utah Jazz; the team he had represented for the entirety of his eight-year NBA career.

After spending part of last season at the Portland Trail Blazers, Ingles signed a one-year, $6.5 million free-agent deal with the Bucks in July. While yet to make his Milwaukee debut, Ingles has been practicing with the Bucks’ G League affiliate in an effort to become match fit.

During his time with the Jazz, Ingles averaged 8.6 points on 41% 3-point shooting in 590 games. He also appeared in 45 playoff games, during which he averaged 9.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists.

In 2020, Ingles played for Maccabi Tel Aviv in the 2020 EuroLeague championship and represented Australia in the 2020 Tokyo Games, winning a bronze medal.
