It looks like Tampa Bay Buccaneers are ready to part ways with some of their offensive talents in order to address other roster concerns. According to former NFL executive and The Athletic’s NFL insider Michael Lombardi, Buccaneers have made tight end O.J. Howard available in trade talks.

Lombardi reports that Bucs will try and trade Howard in the upcoming days in order to amass assets for the 2020 NFL Draft. The 25-year-old was also available last season, but the teams were unwilling to meet Tampa Bay’s demands for a second-round pick.

The Buccaneers will most likely adjust their price, considering that Howard didn’t have a strong year in 2019. He caught 34 passes for 459 yards and one touchdown in 14 games as a starter.

O.J. Howard came out of college with a reputation of a skilled and fast tight end who has reliable hands and good blocking instinct. This kind of reputation made Tampa Bay select him 19th overall in 2017.

Howard, however, didn’t manage to exactly reach his potential in the last three years as a pro, struggling to find consistency. So far, he has 94 career receptions for 1,456 yards and 12 TDs.
