Two-time Masters Tournament champion Bubba Watson dropped some surprising news on Thursday. Watson shared on social media that he is splitting with caddie Ted Scott after working together for the past 15 years.

Watson posted a series of photographs on Instagram before detailing the decision in the caption. According to the 42-year-old golfer, he and Scott went their separate ways following “deep talks, not only about golf but life.”

“Teddy deserves more credit than anyone can imagine for our success on the golf course, but I am just as grateful for his friendship and the way he has helped me grow as a person,” he added.

Watson is yet to reveal who will replace Scott as his caddie.

With Scott by his side, Bubba Watson claimed all of his 12 PGA Tour wins, and the two previously mentioned majors titles. During their partnership, Watson also claimed a 4-1 PGA Tour playoff record and finished second at PGA Championship in 2010.

Watson hasn’t been successful as of late, however, getting his last win in 2018. He also struggled during FedExCup Playoffs, finishing 81st in 2019 and 2020, which are his worst career finishes in the competition.
