If you thought Cleveland Browns are done with making moves, think again. The team announced on Monday that they have traded defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah to Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for safety Eric Murry.

The news was confirmed on the Browns’ official Twitter profile.

Browns started their offseason program on Monday, but Ogbah didn’t show up since he anticipated that he might be traded.

“Ogbah didn’t show, and I’d rather talk about the guys that are here. I’m sure he’s got his reasons. I don’t know,” – said Cleveland’s new head coach Freddie Kitchens on Monday.

Emmanuel Ogbah was drafted 32nd overall by the Browns in the 2016 NFL Draft. Since then, he played 40 games with the team and managed to collect 122 tackles, 12.5 sacks, and seven passes defensed. He played 14 games in 2018 as a starter and 40 tackles and 3.0 sacks.

While Chiefs have their defensive end positions covered with Breeland Speaks and Alex Okafor, Ogbah still can provide quality depth on the position.

Browns, on the other hand, will have Eric Murray fill the void left by the release of Derrick Kindred. Murray, who also entered the league in 2016, comes off a solid 2018 season in which he had one interception alongside two passes defensed and 55 tackles.
