Cleveland Browns received some great news on Wednesday. The team’s linebacker Mack Wilson won’t need surgery on the injured knee and could return to action in four to six weeks.

Wilson went down early in training camp, causing a serious headache for LB-thin Browns. The initial prognosis suggested Wilson will need surgery, which would certainly jeopardize his season. However, later tests showed that the damage is not so severe and won’t require a procedure.

“With all of our guys, you hate to see them go out,” said Browns’ head coach Kevin Stefanski. “Then you hope it’s always good news when they do go out. … So this is a good development for Mack.”

Wilson later shared his excitement about the news on social media.

Drafted in the fifth round by the Browns last year, Mack Wilson surprisingly got an opportunity to start in his rookie season and managed to get the best out of that. He finished 2019 with 82 tackles, 1.0 sacks, seven pass deflections, and one interception.

Browns don’t have much behind Wilson at the position, although they recently brought in insurance in former Super Bowl MVP Malcolm Smith. They also have third-year player Tae Davis and 2019’s third-round pick Sione Takitaki among notable options.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
