The Cleveland Browns showed their disappointment with the results of the 2019 season by firing head coach Freddie Kitchens. The move came shortly after the Brown’s loss to a Cincinnati team that came into week 17 with only 1 win.

After a strong finish to the end of the 2018 season, Cleveland came into 2019 with hopes of making the playoffs for the first time since 2002. Despite great offseason additions such as Odell Beckham Jr. and Kareem Hunt, the team fell short week after week.

Cleveland finished the disappointing season at 6-10 and didn’t place in the top 20 in any major offensive category. There were many head scratching play calls throughout the season as Kitchens seemed like he was in over his head during many close games.

The Browns front office will be looking to hire their 9th different head coach since 2000, and rumors are already swirling about the different candidates available. Cleveland has all the talent necessary, and if they find the right coaching staff, the team has much to look forward to heading into the 2020 season.
