Brazil proved why they are one of the favorites to win the 2018 World Cup as they secured a 2-0 win over Croatia at Anfield on Saturday.

The game’s first goal was scored by Neymar who was making his return from injury. This marked the first appearance of the Brazil superstar since he sustained an injury while playing for PSG in February.

Neymar who does not fully match fit was named on the bench with Brazil manager Tite opting to start with Willian and Gabriel Jesus and Philippe Coutinho in the attack.

Croatia had almost found the opener after 15-minutes, however, Alisson produced a great save to deny Luka Modric from distance.

The two sides went into the first-half goalless. Brazil enjoyed the majority of the game’s possession but could just not find a way to get the ball into the net.

Neymar was introduced during the second-half, replacing Manchester City’s Fernandinho. He found the opener after 68 minutes as he smashed the ball into the net. Roberto Firmino added a second during second-half stoppage time.

Ben loves sports so much but prefers watching other people do it. He prefers not to share what teams he's supporting but he is willing to admit that Lebron James is, in fact, the king.
