Brandon Drury has agreed to a two-year, $17 million contract with the Los Angeles Angels, multiple sources reported. This comes after the utilityman enjoyed a breakout season in 2022, winning the Silver Slugger award following his performance.

Drury hit .263/.320/.492 last season, racking up 28 home runs and 87 RBIs in the process. In addition to his impressive batting stats, Drury also proved his versatility, playing in all four infield positions and right field.

The utility man has bounced around between an array of teams in recent years, playing for the Arizona Diamondbacks before moving to the New York Yankees, the Toronto Blue Jays, and the New York Mets. Prior to his standout season, Drury scored 51 home runs in 1,589 career at-bats.

Upon signing his new contract with the Angels, Drury will be set to earn almost triple his previous career earnings of $5.7 million. By acquiring Drury, the Angels will hope to continue their push to be more competitive in the American League West.
