We finally had the opportunity to see All-Star shooting guard Bradley Beal in action as a member of the Phoenix Suns. Beal made his debut for the franchise on Wednesday night against the Chicago Bulls, but it wasn’t all fireworks as many expected it to be.

Beal managed to score only 13 points, having a poor shooting night that saw him go 3-of-12 from the field. However, the 30-year-old player was solid in other areas, adding four rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

While Beal wasn’t at his best, the Suns ended up getting a win thanks to strong performances from Kevin Durant, Jusuf Nurkic, and Grayson Allen. Durant had 25 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds, while Nurkic finished the night with 20 points, 17 rebounds, and eight assists. Allen added 26 points with a career-high eight threes.

Bradley Beal joined the Phoenix Suns this offseason in a blockbuster trade from the Washington Wizards. The Suns gave up a huge package to get Beal, handing over four first-round pick swaps and six second-round picks alongside Landry Shamet and Chris Paul to the Wizards. Beal played two games with Phoenix in the preseason but ended up missing the first seven games of the 2023-24 campaign due to back tightness.

The Suns are yet to showcase their Big 3 of Durant, Beal, and Devin Booker, although that moment should come sooner than later. Barring any setbacks, Booker is expected to return to action this week following calf strain issues.
