The Cincinnati Bengals have heard the rumors about them being open to trading their talented wideout Tee Higgins. And they want everyone in the NFL to know they are not interested in making such a move.

Speaking with reporters on Tuesday, the Bengals’ longtime director of player personnel, Duke Tobin, ruled out any possibility of his team being interested in moving Higgins.

“If they want a receiver, go find your own,” Tobin said about other teams being interested in Higgins. “In my opinion, Tee Higgins is a good piece for the Cincinnati Bengals. The trade stuff is a little ridiculous right now.”

Tee Higgins became a subject of trade rumors in the past couple of weeks mainly because of a belief that he might be the odd man out on the Bengals’ talented offense from a financial standpoint. He is entering the last year of his rookie deal and is expected to land a major extension. But Cincinnati might not be able to afford it as star quarterback Joe Burrow, and Pro Bowl WR Ja’Marr Chase are also set to receive big-time new deals.

Since entering the league as a second-round pick in 2020, Higgins established himself as one of the most consistent wideouts in the league. He totaled 215 catches for 3,028 receiving yards in the past three seasons while also coming down with 19 touchdowns.

If Higgins becomes available, there is no doubt that other teams will rush to pay a good price to land him from the Bengals. But as things stand now, Cincinnati won’t give them a chance to do so.

Ben loves sports so much but prefers watching other people do it. He prefers not to share what teams he's supporting but he is willing to admit that Lebron James is, in fact, the king.
