The Cincinnati Bengals are hopeful that wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase will return from injury in time for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans. While the player harbors a back injury, the Bengals want to see how he copes during the pregame warmups before coming to a final decision regarding his inclusion.

“We’ll see. I thought he was good,” Bengals coach Zac Taylor said of Chase following Friday’s practice. Chase is still recovering after suffering his back injury due to a hard fall during last week’s 24-18 win over the Buffalo Bills. While he was unable to participate in Wednesday’s practice, Chase had limited participation in Thursday’s practice and was spotted again during Friday’s open practice session.

Cincinnati is looking to win its fifth consecutive game on Sunday. The team is still bottom of a highly competitive AFC North, going level with both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns on 5-3 each.
