The Cincinnati Bengals expressed optimism that receiver Ja’Marr Chase will be fit in time to play in Sunday’s crucial game against the Kansas City Chiefs. After missing last week’s 34-11 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Chase was a limited participant in Thursday’s and Friday’s practice sessions.

Bengals coach Zac Taylor confirmed that Chase was able to complete his designated workload for the week despite his prolonged absence over the past week. Prior to Thursday’s practice, Chase had been unavailable since December 16, when he injured his right shoulder in the Bengals’ 27-24 win over the Minnesota Vikings.

Despite his recent injury setback, Chase expressed confidence about his ability to perform against the Chiefs. “They know I’m good. They know how to play us,” he explained, adding: “That’s what it is. But it’s not like they got a superstar on their defense.” While the Chiefs are in a position to make the playoffs, the Bengals still have an outside chance of clinching a playoff berth, making a win on Sunday crucial to have any chance of progressing.
