The feud between Philadelphia 76ers’ Ben Simmons and Brooklyn Nets’ Jared Dudley might be over before it even properly began. After scoring 31 points in 76ers’ 131-115 win over Nets, Simmons said that he “doesn’t have the energy” to continue feuding with Dudley anymore.

“I don’t really have energy for it,” – Simmons told reporters at the post-game conference. “It’s done. People are going to say what they want to say. Just gotta play.”

Everything started when Jared Dudley made comments about Ben Simmons’ skills after Game 2 of the 76ers-Nets first-round playoff series.

“I think Ben Simmons is a great player in transition. Once you slow him up in the halfcourt, I think he’s average,” – said Dudley.

When asked about these comments by reporters, Simmons didn’t sweat too much about it.

“That’s coming from Jared Dudley. Come on,” – said Simmons.

Although Dudley probably tried to get under Summons’ skin with his comments, he ended doing just the opposite as Philly’s star put a spectacular performance in  Game 3 and showed why he is one of the best young stars in the game.

Dudley, on the other hand, was mightily struggling and may think about making similar comments in the future.
