It looks like Chicago Bears will have a family pass rush in 2020. Bears announced on Monday that they are signing defensive end Ledarius Mack as an undrafted free agent. This move reunites him with his brother and Pro Bowl pass rusher Khalil.

Ledarius played last season with Buffalo, the same school Khalil went to, and had 7.0 sacks to go with 11 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. While these numbers didn’t get him drafted, the younger Mack brother was a highly-sought after player on the free-agent market. Still, Chicago had the ultimate advantage and decided to use it.

“With Khalil’s brother, that’s definitely something that we’re looking forward to,” said the team’s general manager Ryan Pace. “It’s something that worked out for us. It will be unique having two brothers on the same team.”

Ledarius Mack transferred to Buffalo in 2017, which meant he only got to play two seasons of college football. This means that he has a lot more to learn, and might face an uphill battle to play in his rookie season. However, while it’s obvious that he isn’t skilled or explosive as his brother, Mack did show flashes of talent in the past and might be a rewarding project for the Bears if they are patient enough.
