Bayern Munich’s star winger Arjen Robben is reportedly more interested in joining Major League Soccer than heading to Italy’s Seria A. According to influential Italian website Calciomercato, Robben would prefer to continue his career in MLS despite the interest of Seria A giants Inter Milan who are keen to add him to their squad.

Robben already announced that he is leaving German Bundesliga at the end of the season after his contract with Bayern expires. The 35-year-old is currently sidelined with an injury and isn’t expected to return to the field before summer.

There are several MLS teams that would be interested in signing Arjen Robben in the summer with Toronto FC being considered the favorites. According to ESPN, Toronto already held “exploratory” talks with Robben but the team is currently focused on their league campaign and looking to pursue other targets before MLS transfer window closes on May 7th.

On the other hand, Inter is not discouraged by Robben’s preferences and have had several talks with his agent. The team is hoping that the appeal of European soccer and competing at the highest level will work in their favor against the player’s wish to play on a different continent.

Due to injuries, Arjen Robben only managed to play nine games in the Bundesliga this season in which he scored three goals. He also added four appearances and two goals in Champions League.

I am a reality TV junkie. My dream since I was a kid was to be on Big Brother, but until then you can catch me binge-watching episodes each summer.
