Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are two of the best soccer players in the world in the last 10 years and are perceived as being bitter rivals. But, as it turns out, although they are competing against each other every year, they still have great respect for each other.

Messi recently did an interview with Argentine radio station Radio C5N and said that he misses having Cristiano Ronaldo in Spain. Ronaldo decided to leave Barcelona’s bitter rivals Real Madrid after nine years in the offseason and sign with Juventus.

“I miss Cristiano in Spain,” – said Messi. “It was lovely having him here, even though it annoyed me seeing him win so many titles. It would be great if he was still here.”

The 31-year-old Argentinean also added that Ronaldo gave La Liga prestige and that thanks to him Juventus are now a great candidate to win the Champions League.

Although Lionel Messi may be missing Cristiano Ronaldo in Spain, he can’t deny that the departure of the 34-year-old Portuguese didn’t make things a lot easier for him. Without Ronaldo, Real Madrid has been playing poorly the entire season which gave Barca an opportunity to assert their dominance in the league. Messi is also without any real competition for all of the individual La Liga awards and is now the league’s unchallenged biggest star.

Ronaldo, on the other hand, replicated his amazing performances from Spain in Italy and already managed to score 19 goals in 26 matches in Seria A. He also added four goals in seven matches in Champions League.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
