FC Barcelona grabbed their first three points in La Liga this season following a convincing 5-2 victory over Real Betis at the weekend. This win came during a particularly precarious time for the Blaugranes, with Luis Suarez, Ousmane Dembele, and Lionel Messi all ruled out of the clash through injury.

Barca went out in all-out attacking mode to the delight of a packed Camp Nou, however, it was the visitors who opened the scoring through a Nabil Fekir goal in the 15th minute. Barca’s attacking mentality eventually paid off in the 41st minute, as Antoine Griezmann secured an equalizer before the break.

Soon after the game recommenced in the second half, new signing Griezmann again proved his worth in a Barca shirt by scoring a second goal on the 50th-minute mark. Winger Carles Perez extended Barca’s lead to two goals in the 56th minute, while left-back Jordi Alba scored the Catalans’ fourth in the 60th minute, thus wrapping up 19 minutes of clinical attacking by the home side.

In the 77th minute, substitute Arturo Vidal scored Barca’s fifth after only being on the field for three minutes, while Lorenzo Jesus Moron Garcia scored just moments later for Real Betis to close out the scoring.
