Marlon Humphrey, the Baltimore Ravens All-Pro cornerback, is receiving a contract extension that is reportedly worth $98.75 million.

According to sources, it will be a five-year deal that will include $66 million in guarantee money.

Ravens’ general manager Eric DeCosta recently told the press that the team was working with Humphrey’s agent to put together a deal. He also mentioned that another key player that should be getting a new contract soon is offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley, who is set to become a free agent in 2021.

Humphrey was selected by the Ravens in the 2017 NFL draft with the 16th overall pick. However, he didn’t become a full-time starter until 2019, since he was playing behind veteran cornerback Kimmy Smith to start his career.

He proved that he was a worthy starter last season, recording 65 tackles, three interceptions, and three fumble recoveries, two of which he returned for touchdowns.

Humphrey was one of four Baltimore defensive players named to the 2019 Pro Bowl team.

The star cornerback has looked just as good to start the 2020 season. In the first three weeks, Humphery has 14 tackles, four passes defended, and one interception.
