It must be a pretty hard job to be a newsreader or reporter. Oftentimes reporting live, it requires a true professional to keep your head and stay sane while talking to the camera in some of the most bizarre or hilarious situations.

But sometimes even newsreaders fail to keep a straight face when confronted with an unexpected disaster. Take a look at these gifs showing some of the most hilarious news anchor fails of all time.

Goodness me! Can you imagine this poor woman’s surprise? All she is trying to do is get her job done, reporting on the comings and goings of her news piece, and all of a sudden, she is accosted and bothered—and not just by any man, but by none other than Captain Jack Sparrow!

Is this the real him? It looks impossibly like him, though we feel it simply can’t be. Who knows.

Oh dear oh dear. At first, this reporter seems incredibly confident with the big wet fish she’s holding in her delicate hands … before it starts flapping about and sends her in quite a ridiculously over the top spin.

It seems that both this woman and the man she collapses onto are rather enjoying the chaos, however, and certainly seeing the funny side.

Part of being a news reporter means having to sometimes truly put yourself out there in the world, and try to get interviews or scoops from people that might not always necessarily want to talk to you. That’s always a risk, but sometimes it’s worth trying anyway in case you can persuade them.

However, it’s clear that this newsreader is NOT welcome here, thanks to the huge pail of water being thrown on her. A simple “no” would suffice.

Wow! When we first saw this, we were actually quite concerned for this woman. She really does look like she is genuinely fainting! Well, wouldn’t you when suddenly faced with the swoonsome Spiderman without a moment’s notice?

But when you look closely, you can see how much she is really laughing by the time she lands at his feet. Looks like it is all in good fun.

Ouch—this one wasn’t really a fail on behalf of the newsreader, but rather that she just happened to be in shot when this poor cyclist randomly went over on his handlebars. It looks such a catastrophic and almost cartoonish fall, that we almost wonder if he did it on purpose just to get on TV.

Either way, it looks pretty painful, we think there are less dangerous ways to get your 15 minutes of fame.
