Philadelphia Eagles are continuing to secure the services of their top performers for years to come. After extending DE Brandon Graham, the team now also gave their All-Pro Center Jason Kelce a one-year extension. This extension will now keep Kelce in Philly through 2021 season.

According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, Kelce is now the highest paid center in the NFL. He was owed $13.5 million in the next two years, but this new deal will pay the 31-year-old an average of $11 million per year.

“Obviously, it’s a tremendous gesture by the team,” – said Kelce after inking the deal, per the Eagles’ website. “They didn’t have to do anything like this. I’m really happy to be in Philadelphia — I have been my whole career. I love being part of this organization. For everything to continue to go this week, for the team to be how good it is, for the coaches to be as good as they are, I just feel extremely lucky to be in this situation.”

Jason Kelce was drafted in the sixth round of the 2011 Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles and became the first rookie in the franchise’s history to start all 16 games at center. During his eight seasons with the team, he played 110, all of them as a starter. He earned two Pro Bowl appearances, while also receiving two First-team All-Pro honors.
