Veteran forward Alex Galchenyuk will suit up for the Arizona Coyotes once again. The Coyotes confirmed the news on Wednesday, announcing that Galchenyuk returned to the franchise on a one-year deal.

The Coyotes did not disclose the financial terms of the deal “per club policy,” but TSN’s Darren Dreger reports that Galchenyuk’s deal is worth $750,000.

Galchenyuk previously played one season with Arizona in 2018-19. He made 72 appearances, scoring 19 goals and dishing 22 assists for a total of 41 points.

Since then, Galchenyuk changed five teams and was traded twice in less than 48 hours at one point. He finished last season as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs, playing in 26 games and contributing with 12 points (four goals and eight assists).

“We are very pleased to sign Alex,” said Coyotes general manager Bill Armstrong in a statement. “He is a versatile, skilled forward who works hard and has earned a spot on our roster. He will be a good addition to our team.”

Galchenyuk, the third overall pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, made his debut in the league during the 2012-13 campaign with the Montreal Canadiens. Since then, he has played 583 NHL games and scored 140 goals with 193 assists.
