Serbia’s Aleksandar Kolarov ended his spell with AS Roma after three seasons, but the 34-year-old back is going to play in Seria A next season as well. Kolarov decided to join Inter Milan, signing a one-year deal with the club.

According to reports from Italian media, Inter paid $1.77 million to Roma for Kolarov. The value of the deal could increase to $2.35 million if certain marks are met.

Inter confirmed the deal on their official social media on Tuesday.

Kolarov is expected to provide additional depth to Inter Milan’s shaky left-back position. The current starter is ex-Manchester United star Ashley Young, while the club also has Henrique Dalbert as an option, considering the Brazilian returned on Guiseppe Meazza following the expiration of his loan stint with Fiorentina.

Aleksandar Kolarov has been indispensable for Roma on the left side in the past three seasons, playing 132 games in all competitions and contributing with 19 goals and 20 assists. He previously played for Lazio and Manchester City, winning two Premier League titles with the latter.

Kolarov is also a member of the Serbian national team since 2008 and has played 92 games with the senior squad.
