Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal submitted a €300 million ($332 million) bid on Monday for Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe. Should this bid be successful, it would become a new world record transfer.

PSG confirmed that they received the official bid and have granted the Saudi club permission to enter into direct talks with Mbappe, however, it is believed that the striker is not interested in a move to Al Hilal.

Currently, Mbappe remains deadlocked in contract talks with PSG, with the player’s current contract set to lapse in 2024. The 24-year-old player is expected to see out his contract with the reigning Ligue 1 champions before joining Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer.

Mbappe was excluded on Saturday from PSG’s preseason tour of Japan, with the club maintaining that they remain committed to finding a suitable offer for the player should he not agree to sign a new contract with the club.
