If there was any doubt that Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers should be the highest paid player in NFL history, it was gone on Sunday night. In an epic performance against the Chicago Bears, Rodgers showed just why he is one of the best ever to play the game of football. But, let’s start at the beginning.

It didn’t look good for the Packers at the start of the game. The offense struggled to produce, while Bears’ newest acquisition Khalil Mack was shredding through the offensive line, disrupting Aaron Rodgers on each play. Then an even worse thing happened.

Rodgers, who missed the most of 2017 season with a collarbone injury, suffered knee during one of the plays in the early second quarter, and the 34-year-old was forced to leave the game. Packers were 0-10 at that moment, with DeShone Kizer taking over the quarterback position.

Kizer didn’t do much to turn Packers’ luck, and turned the ball twice in his first two snaps, with one turnover leading to Bears’ defensive touchdown. Green Bay was on its knees at this moment, looking towards a heavy loss and probability that they could lose the best player in football for another season.

But then came Aaron Rodgers and the Packers’ began to hope once again. And Rodgers delivered once again. Shrugging off the knee injury, he completed 17 out of his 23 passes for 273 yards and three touchdowns. With this performance, Rodgers tied his biggest comeback in NFL career.

I felt like once I got back out there when the adrenaline was going, it loosened up a little bit,” – said Rodgers. “But then it tightened up there in the fourth quarter. I was walking up and down the sideline trying to keep it loose. We’ll do tests [Monday], and you’ll get a better answer Wednesday when I talk.”

Aaron Rodgers was remarkable. I just can’t tell you how proud I am with him,” – added Packers coach Mike McCarthy said.

Asked about the nature of his injury, Aaron Rodgers said that he will undergo further tests on Monday but that “long as there are no major issues, I’ll keep playing.”
