The New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers revealed a vague timeline for his injury recovery on Tuesday, hinting that he could return to the field in six weeks. “It’ll be a few fortnights,” he stated during his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.
Rodgers underwent surgery on his injured Achilles eight weeks ago. Should he manage to recover in six weeks, he will be able to play during the Jets’ Christmas Week clash with the Washington Commanders on December 24. This would also be the fastest return from an Achilles injury by any NFL player.
Still, the 39-year-old player has acknowledged that such a swift return would be unlikely. “It’d be nice to be able to be back in a couple of weeks. That’s probably not anywhere near a realistic timeline,” Rodgers admitted.
