Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes has caught the NFL by surprise in 2018 and established himself as an MVP candidate in his first year as a starter. This brought him compliments from all around the league, and the latest one to recognize Mahomes’ talent was Green Bay Packers’ QB Aaron Rodgers.

I don’t want to disrespect him with this, but I see a lot of my young self in him,” – Rodgers recently told USA Today’s Zach Kruse. “He rolls around, runs around, makes plays. He has a big arm. He’s talented. Plays with a great swagger. He’s fun to watch.

While these praises shouldn’t be disregarded, 11 games are not enough to give us an idea on whether Patrick Mahomes has what it takes to get to the level of Rodgers, who is considered one of the greatest QBs in the history of the sport. With that being said, the fact is that the 23-year-old is one of the most exciting talents that emerged in football in this decade.

In 2018, Mahomes completed 67.5 percent of his passes, throwing for 3,628 yards and 36 touchdowns. His good plays also translated to wins, as the Chiefs currently sit at the top of AFC with a 9-2 record.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
