It looks like Philadelphia 76ers will have to do some more contract negotiations this summer besides trying to keep Jimmy Butler and Tobias Harris. Forward James Ennis decided to decline his player option and will become an unrestricted free agent in July.

The news was confirmed by Ennis’ agent Scott Nichols in talk with Noah Levick of NBC Sports Philadelphia on Monday. According to Nichols, his client is seeking to get a multi-year and more lucrative contract but is still considering staying in Philadelphia.

It remains to be seen whether the 76ers are willing to break the bank for James Ennis, who was set to earn $1,84 million under his current contract, despite the fact that he was one of their most notable backup players in the postseason. They could offer him a starting salary of $2.3 million per year, while everything above that would require them to dip into a mid-level exception or precious cap space that they need to save for Butler and Harris.

Ennis averaged 7.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game in the playoffs while also contributing some stellar defensive performances.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
