2022 NBA Playoff Bracket is Set: Check Out the Seeding and Play-In Matchups

The 2021/22 NBA regular season wrapped up on Sunday. The NBA playoffs bracket is now set and we know the seeding and play-in tournament matchups.

The Miami Heat took the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference and awaits the conclusion of the play-in tournament to find out their First Round opponent. It’s the same case with the Boston Celtics, who finished second in the standings.

The reigning NBA champions Milwaukee Bucks got the No. 3 seed and will have home advantage against the sixth-seeded Chicago Bulls. The fourth-seeded Philadelphia 76ers play the No. 5 seed Toronto Raptors.

The star-studded Brooklyn Nets finished as the seventh seed and will have to go through a Play-In tournament to secure a spot in the playoffs. The Nets play the Cleveland Cavaliers, with the winner of the matchup being set to play against the Celtics. The Atlanta Hawks, last year’s Eastern Conference finalists, have grabbed the No. 9 seed and will play the 10th seeded Charlotte Hornets. The winner will play the Nets vs. Cavs loser for the no.8 seed and a chance to face the Heat in the first round.

The Play-In tournament in the Western Conference will see the LA Clippers going up against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The winner will grab the No. 7 seed while the loser will play the better team between the New Orleans Pelicans and the San Antonio Spurs for the No. 8 seed. After the play-in tournament concludes, the last year’s NBA finalists Phoenix Suns, who are the top seed in the conference, and the second-seeded Memphis Grizzlies, will get their opponents for the First Round.

Other matchups in the Western Conference include the Golden State Warriors (No. 3) playing the Denver Nuggets (No. 6) and the Dallas Mavericks (No. 4) playing the Utah Jazz (No. 5).

The Play-In tournament will begin on April 12 and should play out on April 15. The First Round of the 2022 NBA playoffs will tip-off on April 16.
